Toronto: Roots Three Music writers Dave Wasyliw, Chris Thorsteinson, and Murray Pulver from Doc Walker have been nominated for a Juno in the Country Album Of The Year category for their latest album: Go.

Winners will be declared at the JUNO Gala Dinner & Awards on Saturday, April 17 to be held at the St. John's Convention Centre, as well as at THE 2010 JUNO AWARDS broadcast on CTV on Sunday, April 18 at Mile One Centre in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador.

Hollywood: Roots Three Music's Steven Lee Olsen, along with ole's Chris Wallin, Bruce Wallace, & Rick Giles, played a showcase at the Hotel Café in Hollywood on February 24th for an audience of studio representatives, music supervisors, film producers, and record executives. This event was the fourth in an ongoing series of showcases by Roots Three Music's co-venture partner, ole, to support its songwriters and to expose their songs to an audience of influential entertainment industry executives, particularly those in film and television.


Present at the event were representatives from such companies as Format Entertainment, States of Sound, ThinkSync, Ruby Beat, NBC Universal, CBS/Paramount, Discovery Communications, Heavy Duty Entertainment, Roberts/David Films, Liberation Entertainment and Wisenheimer, Disney, EMI/Capitol, BMI, NARAS, William Morris Endeavor, Nettwerk Music Group & Management and Indie 103.1.

Roots Three Music has already had great television sync success with NASCAR's extensive use of writer Bruce Wallace's "My So Called Life" during race season last fall.  Other syncs include placements on CMT, GAC, ABC and ESPN.

Miami: The Nominees have been announced for the 25th Annual International Dance Music Awards - recognizing the industry's best achievements for the year 2009. Steven Lee Olsen's co-write, "Broken Tonight" recorded by Armin Van Buuren featuring Vanvelzen is up for Best Trance Track of the Year. Winners will be announced live during WMC in Miami Beach. Toronto: Steven Lee Olsen has been nominated for The Canadian Radio Music Awards in the category of Best New Group/Solo Artist (country) of the Year for his song, "Now". Steven shares this category with fellow nominees Darren McGinnis, Dean Brody, One More Girl and Victoria Banks.

Presented by the Canadian Association of Broadcasters (CAB), the 13th Annual Canadian Radio Music Awards honour Canada's hottest rising music stars. The awards will be handed out at a gala luncheon on Friday, March 12, 2010, at the Fairmont Royal York Toronto, as a part of Canadian Music Week celebrations.

Toronto: Roots Three Music / ole's Doc Walker were presented with a SOCAN Country Music Award last night in a ceremony in Toronto. This award is presented to the SOCAN songwriter, lyricist or composer for their involvement in the Country Music song that achieved the greatest number of performances on domestic radio in 2008.

London:  Roots Three Music / ole's Steven Lee Olsen secures a cut on the upcoming Westlife (Syco/RCA) release Where We Are set for release November 30th, 2009.  Westlife is the first band in UK history to have their first seven singles go to number one and has gone on to sell over 43 million albums worldwide.  "Leaving" track three on the album was written by Steven Lee Olsen, Carl Falk and Bryn Christopher during a writing trip to London in early 2009.   Steven Lee has been writing extensively in Stockholm, London and LA throughout 2008 and 2009 achieving cuts in Germany, Canada, the United States and Sweden.  Learn more about Westlife here.

Berlin: Steven Lee Olsen joins BMG and ole in Berlin for international songwriting songwriting workshop.

Several renowned writers were included in the first transatlantic Songwriter Camp presented by BMG Rights Management and ole Publishing in Berlin, BMG Alex Geringas from Germany and Andrew Roachford from the UK, as well as Meg Pfeiffer, Rike Boomgaarden, Vincent Stein and Sebastian Kirchner from Germany, Erik Nyholm from Sweden, and Tom Hugo from Norway combined their creative talents with US ole topliners Tebey, Steven Lee Olsen as well as Rupert Gayle and JC Smith from Canada.

The workshop took place at the Trackworks Studio in Berlin where the BMG writers for top selling acts like Ich & Ich, Cassandra Steen, Azad (Adel Tawil, Florian Fischer, Sebastian Kirchner), Bushido and Sido (Vincent Stein) have their creative home.

Nashville: NASCAR is getting a lot of mileage out of two versions of "My So Called Life." The song, co-published with ole partner Roots Three on behalf of co-writer Bruce Wallace, is being played during broadcasts of championship races throughout the fall. The song has be reworked with new lyrics and a new title, "My Championship Ride"; a rock version features Wallace on vocals, and a country version is sung by co-writer Sean Patrick McGraw.

Los Angeles: This past week, R3 singer/songwriter Steven Lee Olsen and 24 other hit songwriters from around the world came together in Los Angeles to attend the third-annual ole Pop/Urban Song Camp.  During this camp, the writers spent five days writing, with the goal of creating at least one song per day, and then two days of editing and making rough mixes of the music created.  This camp allows these creative minds from around the world to blend their ideas together and create an entirely new breed of music. By intermixing songwriters from various markets in the US, Canada, UK and Europe, it creates a cohesive blend of genres that can be introduced into each market.

Roots Three Music/ole artist/writers DOC WALKER have been nominated for three CCMA awards including the nomination for Songwriters of the Year for "One Last Sundown" (written by Jon Mabe /Chris Thorsteinson / Dave Wasyliw; recorded by Doc Walker).

A total of 22 nominations were awarded (in the primary categories) to artists associated with the various divisions of RGK Entertainment Group (RGK, Open Road Recordings and Road Angel Entertainment).

Toronto:  R3 singer/songwriter Steven Lee Olsen is making his way up the charts with his current single, "Now".  Steven is currently charted as number #19 (Canadian Country Mediabase Chart) this week.  The video for his single has also climbed to #16 on CMT.  Steven just wrapped up a 19 city CMT tour and shows no signs of slowing down.
